Through carrying out this pilot project we learned that young people want activities to help them recognise and talk about the skills they already posses to understand how these relate to the world of work. They also want to be engaged in authentic and meaningful learning which values and helps to develop their impressive passions, talents and skills further.

Co-designing and driving work related learning through the passions and interests of young people is what permits their voice and choice in learning. This creates the authentic, meaningful and challenging activities that young people yearn for. The Facework resources here are the first prototypes that have been co-designed and tested with young people and practitioners. They are intended to help everyone who uses them to preserve the co-design approach and stimulate further co-creation of bespoke activities with learners.
